I am a textile designer and artist currently based in Richmond, VA. I graduated with my BFA in Fibers from the Savannah College of Art & Design in 2023.
My experience as a fine artist fuels and inspires my design work. My experimentation with various media and techniques when creating my origin art, gives my prints a fresh and tactile feel. I’m especially drawn to designing for interior spaces, as I’ve always been fascinated by the idea of curating an environment with my collections.
My love of travel and history deeply influences my work, providing endless inspiration from different cultures, landscapes, and artistic traditions. I have a deep respect for the rich history of textiles and strive to honor the craftsmanship and techniques that came before me. Whether drawing from historical weaving methods, embroidery, or printmaking, I relish in reinterpreting traditional textile styles and patterns with a contemporary perspective—blending the past with the present to create something new yet rooted in heritage.
My process begins with a story I want to tell or a feeling I want to evoke, often drawing inspiration from the natural world. I start by identifying my client and the setting where my designs will live. From there, I dive into ideation—creating and collecting elements, which I then digitally render and combine to form motifs and textures. Before putting my elements into repeat, I refine my concept, establish my color story, and finalize the composition and layout of my collection.
Through my designs, I strive to convey the essence of my art-making process, using dynamic shapes and textures to bring both traditional and abstract patterns to life. By merging history with modernity, I aim to create designs that feel both timeless and fresh, celebrating the enduring legacy of textile history.
